Fish Hoek – Shiraz | 2023

R 79.00 per bottle (6 per case)

Fish Hoek is a little settlement just outside of Cape Town on the False Bay coast. It is blessed with a breath taking beach, where the waves break for the first time in their previously unhindered journey from the Antarctic.

Backed by Table Mountain, the locals enjoy the outdoors as a way of life – it is this spirit that we hope to capture in this wine. The grapes are from the vineyards of the Breedkloof region.

The grapes were harvested at an average of 25°B, de-stemmed and crushed to stainless steel fermenters where it had 2 days of skin contact before it was fermented. Fermentation took place between 25-27 °C on the skins till dry with soft pump overs every 4 hours. After alcoholic and malolactic fermentation a combination of American and French oak staves were used to give this wine it unique flavor profile.
